over time is calculated on pro- rata basis 

for eg.  a persons is earning Rs. 10,000/- per months
per day earning will be Rs. 333/-
per hour earning will be Rs. 42/-

OT MEANS OVER TIME,
FOR EXAMPLE IF WE GET 20000 PER MONTH USUALLY,20000/26(4
DAYS HOLIDAYS PER MONTH)769.23 PER DAY, IN A DAY AS A INDIAN
RULE IS 8 HOUR ,SO 769.23/8=96.50 PER HOUR.SUPPOSE WE
WORKING 10 HOURS OT,WE GET 965 MORE FROM SALARY

OT means over time, we can pay the double if he works after 
his duty hours. 
FOR EXAMPLE IF WE GET 20000 PER MONTH USUALLY,20000/26(4
DAYS HOLIDAYS PER MONTH)769.23 PER DAY (ie is 8 hours) RULE 
IS 8 HOUR ,SO 769.23/4= 192.30 PER HOUR. SUPPOSE WE
WORKING 10 HOURS OT, he gets 1,923/- extra.

OT is a reward for rendering services more than standard 
hours in general.
Ot is calculated on basic salary, generally if an employee 
work an hour he will get 1 hr 25 mins factor.
