we can .txt extension files.
using file system object we can call the .txt files.

for example:

set a=createobject("scripting.filesystemobject")
set b=a.opentextfile("path of the *.txt file",mode)
1-read mode, 2- writing mode and 8- append mode

using 2 lines u can call the particular txt file.

Yes, We can do. We can call .txt file which contains 
vbscript or qtp automation objects.

To do that use SystemUtil.Run "give your .txt file path"
