Usually application is the process by which one product is 
made or processed....like using some kind of applications 
project team builds one poduct....example

windows calculator   --------- product
application          --------- vc++

Sorry aneel,

Application in the sense,it is depending on the customer
requirement specification.(Single customer)
where as product in the sense,it is depending on the overall
requriments in the market.(Multiple users) 

Eg for Application:Medical billing
Eg for Product:Insurance application(ICICI,LIC,BIRLA etc.,)
Product in the sense it not a equipment,it is also a
application but used by multiple customers where as
application in the sense used by single customer.

size and requirement, that is application....

If we are enterinf different inputs for the same field then tester have to write that much separate test cases with separate ID. E.g. First name field Inputs are - 1. valid name = Shyam, 2. Digits , 3. Blank Space, 4. Empty Name, 5. Enter name after blank space, 6. Special Characters etc. So May I have to write 6 separate test cases with test case id 1,2,3,4,5 & 6.?  4
