some times Testers will do this type of testing,When they 
don't have sufficient time to test the application.

Tester will do it after completion of the all the test 
cases executed and when they are going to realese the build.

a) is the right answer.

1)Ad hoc testing is a commonly used term for software 
testing performed without planning and documentation.

2)It's a random testing It maens testing a application 
without proper test plan.It's carried out at the end of the 
project when all the test cases are executed.To check the 
application randomly.

Ahdoc mainly concentrate on the application without having 
any documents ( either testcases / test plan ).
It is common activity for a test team to do before 
application goes to release / production .
In some times we will get the defects rather we did with 
the scope test cases for the current cr .
