HI, Deepa i don't agree with yout SDLC ans, what you have
explained is different types of methodology.
SDLC: there are 7 diffrent phases of SDLC.
- Information gathering,(Business analyst get the info.
from customer or end-users)
- Infomation anyalysis, (BA review the info and decide
time, deadline, human resource, cost)
- Design, (then technical people start design the
application)
- Coding, ( after design phase developer start coding
according to the BRS)
- Testing,( Once testers get the build they start testing
the build according to the BRS)
- Implematation, ( once tester are done tesing it goes to
implemantation means production environment and in the
production environment Users checks the application, (we)
tester call as UAT -User acceptence testing and accept it)
- Maintenance. ( Last phase is maintanace, any problems or
change request after the application is under the
production, that's call maintenance)

STLC: there are four phases of STLC.
- Requirement( tester gather the requirements from BRS or
FRS)
- Test Plan ( start writing a test plan according to the
FRS)
- Test Execusion ( Execute the tests and evalute the result)
- Defect ( Log the defect find during the execusion)

is thr in SDlc?
SDLC meand Software Testing Lifecycle .SDLC is devided in
five types 1.analysis phase

           3.coading phase
           4.testing phase
           5.release and maintaince
analysis phase:at this time the customer will analyse
1)cost of the project
2)Wht is the project
3)wht is benfits are thr in this project
4)benfits or advantages using this software
5)Identify the project
6)Identify the scope of the project
Note:At the same time the development company is also
analyse what is the project, which technolagy use this

FRS:(Functional Requirment Specification):This document can
be reviwed test lead or project manager.
SRS: This document contain all the software and hardware
requirments

according to the customer requirment

coading:
after designing phase the developers should wrtite

All, very interesting comments and answers. Soni is right
in her answers and I can see that Moni also knows the
correct answers.

Mu comments here are regarding the quality of the language
or lack thereof in the various answers I see here. If all
of you concentrate a little more on the quality of
language, spelling and the way the answers are articulated
and communicated, you all will go a long way and be
successful. Good luck to all of you
