Both versions have same per action and Sahred repository 
Types
in qpt 8.2 not available merging and comaparing object 
repositories
these options available in qtp 9.2

Both versions have Object Repository Merging options. The 
differnce is in the Object Repository Manager, this 
functionaly is added new to 9.2 version. We can use this 
tool to compare repositories.

In QTP 9.2 the new feature called Dynamic Management of
Object Repository here you can associate or de-associate
repositories dynamically during run time 

This is one of the new feature added in QTP 9.2
