as per my knowledge this is the only icon whcih disply 
change if deleted material is in the Bin. Rest of all icon 
dosn't change.

Windows XP new theme by default has Recycle Bin alone on 
desktop. If u want to have other icons like My computer, My 
Network Places, etc. you can either change the display of 
start menu and get those icons from Taskbar and StartMenu 
Properties or else customize the desktop from display 
properties menu -> desktop -> customize desktop

as for my knowledge after installing windows we can get 
mycomputer, my networkplaces, etc.. through the start 
button. we didn't get recyclebin through the start button 
and also we didn't found anyware except the desktop. thats 
why it shows the recycle bin desktop after installation.

after installation of windows xp, by default only Recycle 
bin comes. You need to customise your desktop icons by 
right clicking on desktop----> choose properties--->desktop 
tab---->click on customize desktop option ---> then choose 
all the options which u want to appear on the desktop---> 
then click on OK.

Recycle bin is the only icon, which we can not delete from

In Windows Xp Theme we can get mycomputer, my 
networkplaces, etc..in the Start menu except Recyclebin.

In WIndows XP Classic Mode we can see all the Icons same as 
in Windows 2000 desktop.

It's just because of Windows XP Theme.

After installation of windows XP we can see only recycle 
bin as per my knowledge this is the only icon whcih 
displayed changes if deleted material is in the Bin, we can 
restore that. we can create that after Rest of all icon 
dosn't change.

This is symbolize that death is the beginning of life...
