Benchmark is nothing but compare the uptaind results in u 
project with standard values (client results).

Bench marking:
          Identifying the best machine/server under
different configurations.

Benchmarking is process of setting up some standard 
principles.
Benchmark is nothing but a point of reference by which 
something can be measured.

EX: How much time you take to run 10m without carrying a 
load

Here "No Load" is a benchmark.
