Answer
# 2
Sub-function is the internal/side-by/dependent
functionality of a specified functionality.

Example: Save functionality is the "Function" whereas
displaying a success message on GUI is a "Sub-Function".

Answer
# 3
With the release of 9.0, there are now some changes to the
Job Code table and a new Subfunction field has been
introduced.
The Subfunction field is a new field that was added to
Release 9 that is basically an additional way to break down
or further define the Job Function, if required. It has a
child relationship to the current Job Function field. This
is an optional field on the Job Code table. It is fully
explained in PeopleBooks [PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS 9.0
Application Fundamentals PeopleBook in the Setting Up Jobs
section.

The Job Code can be used in the same way as always since
the Subfunction field is an optional field.
