micro waves are those waves whose wavelength is less than a 
foot(30 cms) or freq ranging from 1 GHz to 1000 GHz.

Because of there tinyness these are called micro.

wavelength (symbol-lambta)-how long distance travelled the 
wave in one cycle .

micro waves has short wavelength that is called 
microwaves...
its range from 1 to 300MHZ
