by using format utility you can findout the no.of disks

To check the how may disk attached in the disk is ?

Format command it not acceptable and it is not good.
so go #prtdiag -v | more
hear u can see how many disk are attached and the conditions
of the disk weather it is good or bad.

The format command works is  x86 while prtdiag works on
Sparc based systems.
