Software Testing is the process of evaluating a system by
manual or automation and verify that it meets the specified
requirements.

The main purpose of Software Testing is deliver a Quality
Product i.e. defect free product to the customers.

testing is made to verify that we are meeting the 
requirment (srs) of the client.by testing we can give the 
right product and quality product to the client by making 
it bug free.

example : IF requirment is butter chicken curry.

we have to test first that that product we have brought is 
chicken , mutton  or fish .if chicken then we start making 
it. after making we will test that , salt is ok or not , 
masala is fried or not , butter is there or not , gravy is 
there or it is made freied type. by checking all this we 
can meet the requirment of customer, then we can serve him 
the best he wants from us . this is why testing is required 
before release of the product.

Testing is done to find out any diviations from SRS 
provided by business people. And to deliver the product 
with no bugs in the product

Testing is the technique through we can test or check the 
quality of the product or application prepaired by a 
specific requirement or not..

To give maximum bug free product to the client we use 
testing.

As far as i know in this competitve world, bringing a 
product in quick time is the only thing makes the companies 
to survive, when they try to bring a product in quick time 
they will forget some aspects as the time is very short and 
release their product in the market , once the product is 
been purchased by the user and if experience any 
inconvience, or if he finds an issues it is a big problem 
to the company and their reputation is at the edge, causing 
severe damage to their brand name and loss in their stock 
price,So in order to avoid this now a days companies are 
spending more on quality and in this process testing comes 
into picture, the main reason to do testing is that 
To find any issues/ defects/ bug/ errors what ever the name 
is at the early stage of software development it self so 
that the product can be released with less number of 
defects,

The only reason and moto behind testing is to find issues 
and get it fix before the product is release. It also gives 
an idea to the higher management saying that these many 
issues were found on this build and so they can come up 
with some patches or with some kind of assistance to the 
user once he purchase the product.

Testing ia a process of evaluating the application for 100% 
quality(as per the requirement of the customer) in order 
satisfy the customer.

This is  a process where we can submit bug free prodcut to 
the customer.

Software Testing is the execution of program with an intend
of finding the defects.
We go for testing ,because to deliver a high quality product
to customer(which is of bug free).

undiscovered errors in the software. 

The main purpose of testing is to satisfy the customer 
requirements(Here customer means end user).

s/w which we makes for customer... 
   Testimg is done to check the s/w which is made by 
programmers is work as user requirements....

An old adage "Prevention is better than cure" is very true 
when we ask ourselves "why is testing important?". We do 
not want imperfect things in our life nor we want to pay 
any price to get those. Its always economical for anybody 
to not to commit a mistake rather than making and then 
spending time & money in correcting mistakes. For business 
organizations time = money = reputation, so testing is an 
important activity to keep the software development under 
controlled inspection and verification and hence enhance 
user experience and satisfaction with the end product.

1)To unearth defects
2)To avoid end user finding the problems 
3)To reduce the cost of bug fixing work before delivering 
the product in the market
