As far as I know
Whitebox testing consists of 3 techniques:
                                 1.execution testing
                                 2.operation testing
                                 3.mutation testing
After execution of a program in current platform,white box 
tester run that program on other customer expected 
platform.Platform means....o/s ,compilers ,browsers and 
other system s/w

hi swetha,

Platform qulification tests are comes under Black Box 
testing techniques. we will do it in sanity testing and 
compatibility testing not in white box...

its very important that u should devide all the desting  in 
to different categories so that u can easily understand 
which testing is black box  and which one is white box soon 
i am going to post this classification which i have derived 
after  a study of many books
