Test Cases for a Login Page Scenario:


1. Testing without entering any username and password
2. Test it only with Username no password
3. Test it only with password no username.
4. User name with wrong password
5. Password with wrong user name
6. Right username and right password
7. Cancel, after entering username and pwd.
8. Enter long username and password, that exceeds the set  
   limit of characters.
9. Try copy/paste in the password text box.\
10. Password should display only asterisk (*) symbol no
characters
11.  passwords: 
             1. should take only alpha-numeric characters no
special character
             2. must start with alphabet not number
             3. must contain minimum of 6
character(alpha-numberic) or based in you specification

Fist of all the Test Cases will varey from one Login Screen 
to another. The conut will be depende on the desing of the 
Login Page

For noraml login page we can write 13 test cases.

     similarly 3 user Business scenarios for cancel
     button also

we con't say that particular  no of test cases to the login
that is depends on the type of the application and tester 
ability.
