STLC -Software testing life cycle
it means life cycle of the software life cycle
i.e 
from requirement study toacceptence testing

Bug life cycle means bug life from detection to closing 
phase

There are 6 phases in STLC,There are 1.Test 
Planning, 2.Test Development,3.Test Execution,4.Result 
Analysis, 5.Bug Tracking(Defect Tracking),6.Reporting.
  There are 7 Phases in Bug Life Cycle. There are 1.New/Open
2.Repone,3.Closed,4.Fixed For Verification,5.Hold,6.As Per 
Design,7.Testers Error.

Both are Different.

Both STLC and Bug Life Cycle are different.

STLC consists of 6 stages. they are

1)Test Initiation
2)Test Plan.
3)Test Design.
4)Test Execution.
5)Test Execution. 
6)Test Closure.

Where as bug life cycle starts with finding the defect for 
the first time and ends at the time it is fixed,In between 
it is assigned to varius status such as 
new,open,reopen,fixed,closed,defered,pending, rejected 
etc....
