quality asuurance is nothing but monitoring(what is going 
on) and measuring the strength of the development process.

quality control is nothing but validating finally prepared 
software before releasing it to the customers or users.

Testing means Quality Control.
QC used to measure a quality of process.
Qa used to delivery a quality of product.

QA: this is process based
QC:This is product based
QA:It evaluate the defect
QC:It detect the defect]
QA It checks the applicationas per the requiements
QC:It checks the application by comparing with applicable 
standards.
QA:it is line function
QC :It is staff function

developer team will work on QUALITY ASSURANCE,they make 
test plan and testers will do testing and make sure that 
the product is a quality product.

But release manager will have QUALITY CONTROLE, that means 
manager is going to decide about running test and fixing 
bugs.
