functionalities are working properly or not 
Types of testing testers perform:
a)functionality testing 
b)Integration testing 
c)system testing 
d)smoke testing 
e)sanity testing 
f)regression testing
g)re-testing
h)user acceptance testing 

error:a mistake found by developer 
bug :mistake found by tester 
defect : if abug is accepted by a developer is called 
defect i.e whenever expected is not equal to actual it is 
defect

When a tester finds a noncompliance of a requirement in the 
software, it is called a defect.

If the defect is accepted by the developer, then it becomes 
a bug.
