from srs we will get software reuirements which are derived 
from client requirements.

From SRS Requirement are documented and from them Highlevel
design document and then Low level design document are derived.

Software Requirement Specification(SRS)consists of
Functional & Non-Functional Requirements to be developed.
Functional: a,b inputs
            + operation
            1 output

Non-Functional: output shud come in 0.5 sec (peformance)
                Background should be Blue color
                Run on windows & Linux platforms

SRS is a system requirement specification which gives an 
idea of the environment for that application.

SRS document is the derived Document from the BRS Document.
In BRS Document we have all the possible specifications from
the Customer in Detail.

Where as in SRS document we have Customer Specifications in
terms of Functional Specifications and Non functional
Specifications in Detail.

Using that one can able to Design HLD and LLD and from there
Coding from that Testing and the cycle will go like this.

SRS Document is a two way insurance policy that, ensure 
both client and organization. It’s a parent document which 
subsequent Software design description, Test Plan, Test 
Cases and user documents.

It's important to note that an SRS contains functional and
nonfunctional requirements only; it doesn't offer design
suggestions, possible solutions to technology or business
issues, or any other information other than what the
development team understands the customer's system 
requirements
to be.
