In SDLC life cycle never stops untill the pplication/product
becomes outdated or obsolete.
One thing i want to clear you friends
Typical SDLC phase looks like
Requirement Gathering
\
Requirement Analysis
\
Design
\
Coding & integration
\
Testing
\
Deployment
\
maintanenece
The above Seven are the major and important SDLC Phases.
ofcourse one can think that after deployment of
application/product in client enviroment development
process will be ended.
But in real it never ends like that. After deployment client
may need some changes or some additions or some pathches
to fix bugs or support.
So life cycle never ends until the product/application
alive.

Hi rajendra ,
I too agree with your answer , but i want one small
clarification from your end, why "water fall model"
is only used by few organization . (most of the people are
having Opinion like, all the stages in this model are
interdependend ,if one stage out put or input went wrong
total project will colapse, do u have any idea on this.
hai rajendra this is abhinav
THE MOST OF THE COMPANIES USED WATER FALL MODEL WHY BECAUSE
IN THIS MODEL THE COST OF THE PROJECT IS TOO LOW WHEN
COMPARED WITH ANOTHER MODELS
THIS MODEL IS USED WHEN THE CLIENT
REQUIREMENTS ARE CLEAR FOR THAT PROJECT
Hai Praveen,
I have 5+ years of experience in testing
and tested 9 projects (Still Some are maintenance).
The Selecetion of SDLC is depeneded on project types
under development and it is related to Project management.
out of my 9 projects 4 projects we followed Waterfall
model. 2 Projects Agile process,3 products used iterative
development model. So be cautious when u r making some
comment on others.Becareful.
