Three phase supply can be given to the rotor of slipring
motor for testing purpose. it just work like supply given to
the secondary side of transformer & measure voltage on the
primary side. So give supply to the rotor of slipring motor
& check voltage across stator terminal

Motor rotates but heavy is current is drawn resulting in
tripping of CB or fuse blow off .

in 3 phase induction motor rotor carries the field winding so we are not gived the supply in the rotor supply is always give in the conductor which is in stator
