Answer

It can be done in only one cut. Cut the cake half way along
the thickness of the cake. No matter where ever the
rectangular cut is two equal proportions are assured.

Answer
# 2
It saids sheet cake, therefore you cannot cut half way
along the thickness of the cake. Instead, find the center
point of the missing piece along with the center point of
the cake, anyway you cut it through these two center points
will be an even cut.

Answer
# 3
In the Q, 2 cuts means each cut is continuous ie. cuts never
overcross the missing piece.
The soln is to cut the cake along the line joining the
centre of the 2 shapes(missing cake and the other being the
center of whole cake, center in this case being geometrical
centre of the boundry curve). The first cut will end at the
one edge of the missing piece while the second cut will
start from the other edge(in the same straight line). Hence,
2 cuts.

Answer
# 7
First cut along one of the axes of the rectangular cut
through the cake. Next cut along the other axis of the
rectangular cut
through the cake. Now we had two cuts and two even proportions.
