I would like to share my success and my experiences of getting into IBM.
 
I had my test on 22 July in Warangal.  written test in which there are  4 
sections are there.
 
English Section  mainly concentrates on  articles and prepositions .  CAT 
verbal material is goodbook. refer "practical english usage" by michael 
swan. So reading skill is important for this one. donot waste much time to 
infer the ans as you can score in other sections.Finsh as soon as possible.

The next one will be the Aptitude Section  are venn diagrams mostly 2 or 3 
set diagrams . simple blood relation inferences and percentages, time and 
work, time and distance. Time management is important. 
 
The next part other than aptitude  Data Sufficiency  practice from RS 
agarwal it is sufficient. 
 
The next one is the Reasoning part. Mostly there are common types of 
Questions .

for ex:

1. if +is-,-is/ ,/is *so on.

2. the next one is if 1 is a and 0 is b  and he would give some questions 
on it .

3. the cubes problems 

4.There shall be some conditions given for the selection process, or any 
other and there will be questions based on it.prepare it from verbal 
reaoning by RS agarwal puzzle test.  



The Technical Part is mainly based on basics of C&ds, DBMS,1 or 2 
Questions in unix,and some basic Questions  on object concept. technical 
part is  easy one to solve.

written test in IBM is an easy one and mostly around 40-50% had selected 
for technical interview.so, the technical inerview is the main screening 
round for IBM.
 
In the Tech Interview for electronics,mechanical and other non it 
candidates are supposed to know basics of c and data structures.

In this they will ask to  write some basic pgms like swap, prime, 
pallindrome(using stack),some basic rules about pointers, and programs on 
different searching and sorting techniques. There shall be questions on 
your core subjects and your project which you have mentioned in your 
resume.

my entire interview was on different concepts of OS. Every question wud be 
linked with the type of answer we give for the previous one. 

later asked about  some basic concepts of C,DS and pointers.she asked me 
around 5-6 programs and asked me to discuss about the outputs.


first one was based on linked lists, some other pgms on pointers, strings, 
stacks, queus, like this.


She asked me some concepts of trees,asked me to explain operations on 
binary search trees with examples.

The tech interview was about 30-40 minutes for every one.

some panels concentrated entirely on dbms, sql queries and concepts of 
java, IT members they should have sound knowledge in concepts of OS, java, 
C&DS, dbms, sql queries, unix as mentioned in in resume.

they will entirely concentrate on the subjects specified in the resume.  
Do prepare some questions to ask the interviewer which would add your 
chances to get qualified. 
 
The next round which is HR was a bit tough one .

Here there shall be some Questions's on  core subjects. we have to make 
our  first impression in the first important question "tell me abt urself".

Try to give examples for your strengths which wud add a postive impression 
on you. hr round  also may be 20-30 min.

Hr asked me question on integration, difference between definite and 
indefinite integrals.

He asked me a question like how many bytes make a Kb .

some qustions on data structures,different sortings and searching 
techniques, deadlock . Then about my personal details. He asked me that 
what i learned from my father.
