diesel generator worked as principle of faraday's law of
electromagnetic effect.mechanical energy is converted to
electrical energy.It can stared to d.c supply i.e. 12v ,
24v.D.C supply to starter and after starting it produce
A.C. supply.Engine only use as a prime mover.
A diesel generator works on the principal of Faraday's law
of electromagnetic effect. Mechanical power of the rotor is
converted into electrical power. As the rotor rotates
(because of the external voltage given to it through the
battery), EMF and hence current is generated, which is
collected by collectors connected on the stator.
A diesel generator is the set of diesel engine and
alternator. Disel engine is prime mover which rotates the
alternator and alternator generates the electricity.
Further diesel engine works on principle of carnot cycle,
air is compressed in a cylender, then it is compressed up
to high pressure, disel is injected to this compressed air
thus cumbustion takes place, this energy force to move the
piston in the cylendrical passage, piston is further
connected to crank shaft. on the other hand generator
wotrks on principle of electo magnetic induction, when a
DC excited rotor is rotated then at synchonous speed EMF
induced in static armature.
firstly the input is converted in to mechanical energy this
done by the turbine in the generator this was connected to
rotating conductor and around that there should be the
magnetic field and the magnets should be in stationary the
rotating conductor make coupling with the magnets and the
mechanical energy converted in to electrical energy this is
the working of generator.
Generator: IT IS A MECHANICAL DEVICE WHICH IS USED FOR
CONVERTING THE CHEMICAL ENERGY STORED IN FUEL TO THE
ELECTRICAL ENERGY. IT CONSISTS OF FOLLOWING COMPONENTS
4.COIL WITH PRIMARY $ SECONDARY WINDING OF COPPER WIRE.
1.DISEL ENGINE CONVERTS CHEMICAL ENERGY INTO MECHANICAL
2.TURBINE CONNECTED WITH CRANSKHAFT OF ENGINE ROTATES
IN THE CORE(STATOR.
3.ALTERNETOR CONVERTS MECHANICAL ENERGY INTO ELECTRICAL
4.WINDINGS ARE USED TO STEP UP OR STEP DOWN THE VOLTAGE.
