absorption is inversely proportional to the transmittance.

A light is passed through the solution,if any absorption
take place means transmittance is zero.If any transmittance
takes place absorption is zero.

Absorption and transmittance have inverse logarithamic
relation.
for ex.
A perfectly black body have absorption 100% and
transmittance 0%.
