any one of the generator neutral need to be grounded.if it
is multiple generators also one generator neutal must need
to be grounded because the unbalnce currents will pass
through the neutral while it was running in parallel.
First Generator must be grounded and next generator neutral
must be left open works as floating neutral.
Both Alternator neutrals should not be earthed while running
in parallel
when two genarators are conected in parllel then it must
satisfy the synchronisam i.e it must satisfys certain
conditions.suppose when it falls to out of synchronisam
then there is chance of occuring the fault i.e there is a
chance for circulating high currents,at that particular
situtation the nutral will help for flowing that currents
to ground&it also protect the system when the lightning is
occur
I Hope we have to connect the both neutrals(individual
alternators)to the earth.if fault occurs when that
synchronism fails unbalance currents will flow through this
neutarl to ground.
when the generator satisfing the parallesm conditions then
the neutral is grounded because when when the parellelism
conds are not satisfied then the circulating currents are
generated which become one become motor and other become
generator..........so d circulatind currents are flow to
the grounded..
our company have 750 kva oil transformer.still we have
facing a problem that is when voltage is 11.5 kv coming
from HT side then LT-side voltage is 420v or above at tape
1.please give me best solution to decrease the voltage.
