How voltage regulation is calculated for over head
transmission line? What do we mean by Conductor constant
while calculating voltage regulation? how it is differ for
for diffrent type of conductor say AAAC DOG & AAAC RACOON
conductor?

Calculation of voltage regulation is an important part of power system analysis.
ACSR, AAAC conductors of different sizes are available. Usage of a particular conductor depends on factors like voltage rating of the transmission line, power factor, total load, length of the line etc. For example following are the KW-KM values for 1% voltage drop at 60 deg C at P.F
1.00 - 41613; 0.9 - 25438; 0.8- 20966; 0.7- 17787 FOR acsr Coyote 26/2.54 + 7/1.91 conductor.
Generally the formula used for calculation of Regulation is
% regulation @ --- p.f = KW-KM X RC of conductor/P.F x D.F

The above ans is general for calculating the regulation in
T.L. Due to capacitance effect in overhead transmission line
(short, medium, long) the regulation forumula is vaired.

Is there any formula ? Is there any meter around to
calculate it ? And how to use that meter ? thanks
