Question   What is the difference between Spectroscopy and spectrophotometry,What are the applications? Rank Answer Posted By
Interview Question Submitted By :: Gsk
I also faced this Question!!   ALL Interview .com
Answer
Spectroscopy is the interation of electromagnetic radiation
with a chemical or physical species and can also refer to
the energy involved. It is what is happening.

Spectrometry refers to the technique used and how
spectroscopy is measured. It can also include other
techniques such as mass spectrometry where there is energy
but no light.

So you can say you are experimenting with ultraviolet
spectroscopy using ultraviolet spectrometry.

0 Himani

Answer
i Think Spectroscopy means, in Spectroscopy we get
Either absorption or transmitence as a bnd means number of wavelengths but in spectrometry we can get a spectrum at a desired wavelength

Question   why we use only six bowls for dissolution of a drug Rank Answer Posted By
Interview Question Submitted By :: Anil Babu
I also faced this Question!!   ALL Interview .com
Answer
The use of six dosage units as the basic sample size in
dissolution is partially due to the configuration of the
dissolution test assembly with six positions. However, in
some statistical procedures such as the estimation of a
confidence interval for precision of a measurement, a
sample size of six represents the point of diminishing
returns where the decrease in the confidence interval from
5 units is significantly greater than the decrease from 6
to 7 units. Thus the added value of obtaining additional
measurements is significantly less once six measurements
have been acquired.
