Power factor =1.000 at factory in supply. However, PF = 0.8
at motor end. Current = 100 Amp, Voltage = 400 V. What is
the power distribution loss? Can I reduce it by adding
capacitor at the load feeder?
I have 4 DG set with 1500KVA rating. system breakers are
11KV & alternator are 415 Volts. Between alternator &
breaker one stepup transformer used. i want to Know what is
max. resistance for body earthing & 415 & 11KV V Neuteal
earthing. my fault current is 14 times for 2 sec.
I have a shop heater with a 1/3 hp capacitor start,
induction motor driving the fan. Intermittently, the fan
motor speeds up significantly for several seconds (15-60
sec) then slows to normal operating speed. The manufacturer
suggested changing the capacitor which made no sense, but I
did it to no avail.
Could this possibly be caused by the centrifugal switch
intermittently reconnecting the start winding?
